“Art is taking a small piece of the infinite world inside us and bringing it to the outside world!”

"I want my photographic work to take me all over the world, to push me to try new things, to meet new people, to have exciting interactions and experiences. I want to go on a quest for what is life, what it is to live and to be alive. I want my work to be a balance between the commercial and the artistic and to always be creative. To seek, question, learn, understand, share, to teach; I wish to inspire that in others. Life is a journey and it's not about the ending but the ride, the people you met, the places you've been, and the experiences you've had." - J. Pace

“If I'd observed all the rules I'd never have got anywhere.”

-Marylin Monroe

“Dear Diary, you have no idea, this is the life and times of J.Pace. Freelance artist and photographer.”

A little Artist Interview with J.Pace on the way to a shoot as well as some behind the scenes with J.Pace Photography during a on location boudoir shoot.

I go by J.Pace, but you are welcome to call me Jennifer.

I am a freelance artist and photographer. My first camera was a disposable my mom got me for a family vacation when I was 5, then every vacation and field trip after until I got my hands on a Minolta SRT 101 (35mm) when I was eleven. I took my first darkroom class at thirteen and it was love at first print.

It's been a whirlwind love affair with photography, getting my A.A in Fine Art Photography at Shoreline C.C then moving to Oakland, California in the summer of 2013 to pursue my B.A in F.A.P. I attended the California College of Art, graduated in May of 2016, and spent a bit of time in Portland, OR before making my way back home to Seattle where I currently live as of 2022.

I love and take pride in creating a place and space for women, and just people, to explore themselves in a creative way; that they hopefully see a different perspective on themselves. We live in a world and society that feeds off the negative. I see creating as a way to quiet some of those negative inner thoughts one might have because it allows us to be present and enjoy ourselves. Making people feel good through photography and to not fear photos of themselves or fear having a camera pointed at them. I want people to find photo shoots fun and inviting! To have fun, be present in the moment, and create photos you and I are both proud of is always the main goal. Let me know what you want to create today!
